Would you like to volunteer for The Hepatitis C Trust’s helpline?
The helpline provides an information and support service for those affected by or interested in hepatitis C. With this in mind we only take on volunteers who have, or who have had and cleared, hepatitis C.
Volunteers will be expected to commit to at least one shift per week to ensure continuity (shifts are currently from 10.30 to 4.30pm Monday to Fridays. All helpline work is based at our office at London Bridge.
Onsite training, supervision and support for volunteers is provided by the Head of Support Services.
We value the work of volunteers and aim to provide a friendly working environment in a mutually supportive atmosphere. It is hoped that volunteers will in turn benefit from extending their existing skills and also increase their own personal knowledge and awareness of issues around hepatitis C. Helpline volunteers will be expected to provide information and support to those affected by hepatitis C. A willingness to share your own experience, where appropriate, is also helpful to callers.
